§ 5. Recording and codification of ordinances.

  • (a)

    Every ordinance or resolution, upon its becoming effective, shall be recorded in a permanent bound book kept for such purpose and shall be authenticated by the signature of the Mayor and the person exercising the duties of the City Secretary; and

    (b)

    The Council may cause a Code of Civil and Criminal Ordinances to be prepared as early as practicable, and enacted to give effect to this Charter; and to repeal or revise such ordinances as may be obsolete or in conflict with this Charter.
