§ 14-7. Electrical permit fees.

  • (a)

    The fee for the permit and inspections provided for in this article shall be the total of all items marked on the application for permit for electrical wiring with the minimum fee being $35.00. An additional charge of $25.00 shall be made for each reinspection required by reason of faulty or defective work.

    (b)

    For each installation where an electrical permit has not been secured before work is begun, except in cases of emergency, a penalty of $25.00 shall be added to the cost of the permit.

    (c)

    Failure to call for a roughed-in inspection shall result in an additional fee of $50.00, payable by the permit applicant.

    (d)

    Failure to call for a final inspection shall result in the assessment of a fee of $50.00.

    (e)

    If electrical work is covered up or concealed to such an extent that a roughed-in inspection cannot be adequately made, a $50.00 fee shall be assessed to the master electrician or residential electrician who applied for the permit.
